Residential Care

St Philip's

A great place for children and young people to experience love, care, compassion, understanding and respect.

Residential Care

At St Philip’s school we provide a range of residential facilities which each offer a warm, welcoming and loving environment supported by a team of caring, experienced and trauma informed adults.

On the main campus there are four houses, each with six ensuite rooms which the young people can tailor to their individual likes and tastes.  The houses also offer a kitchen and dining area where they are provided meals but also the opportunity to develop their own culinary skills; a games room where they can play on the latest consoles and a large lounge which affords them the space to spend time hanging out, socialising and watching TV.

There are also three detached facilities on the adjacent grounds, two of which are customised for young adults who are developing independent life skills and are moving towards the senior phase of education, work experience and college placements.  The third is a modernised one bedded house which has the adaptability to also cater for a young adult, learning independent life skills, but also for those identified as needing more individualised supports.

The more recent and exciting part of our journey as a residential provider has led to us to develop a community-based facility in Blackwood, South Lanarkshire.  This modern house set aside the rolling countryside of the Clyde valley offers the opportunity for five young people to reside in a community-based setting with a blended approach to education and care.
