St Philip's

We build trusting relationships with our young people, fully supporting them to engage in school and to experience success and enjoyment in their learning.

Education

St. Philip’s School is committed to supporting young people to grow up feeling loved, safe and respected.

Curriculum

St Philip’s school is committed to helping our young people gain the knowledge, skills and attributes needed for life in the 21st century.  We have moved towards a more dynamic and relevant curriculum that helps young people to get to know themselves as individuals and to develop their relationships with others.  Young people’s rights and entitlements to education are central to the curriculum on offer across Education, Health and Wellbeing and The Skills and Vocational Centre.

Education Centre

Within the Education Centre, young people can study core and traditional subjects including English, Maths, Social Studies, Art, Home Economics, Craft & Design Technology, Sciences, Career management Skills, RME, Computing Science and Personal & Social Education.

Health and Wellbeing Centre

Skills and Vocational Centre

The Skills and Vocational Centre will provide young people with exciting and extended educational and vocational opportunities. We aim to develop young people’s interests and skills into a career within the Skills and Vocational centre.

In each of the centres, St Philip’s supports young people to develop the four capacities as learners and empower our young people to become successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens.
